WDYWD Privacy Policy

Information WDYWD uses

WDYWD uses information you provide or create while using the app, including:

• account information such as your email address and WDYWD user/account identifiers;
• profile information such as first name and birthday month/day;
• your category ranking, selected VIBEs, alcohol preference, and onboarding/matching state;
• relationship and pairing information, including partner/invitation information and anniversary or provisional relationship details;
• date activity needed to operate WDYWD, including selected dates, active/skipped/completed status, schedule information, ratings, Memories/history, and monthly skip state;
• photos, personal notes, ratings and Love Notes you choose to save or send, together with information needed to associate them with your account and connected partner;
• purchase and subscription information, including store product and transaction identifiers, purchase history, ownership, subscription status and access shared through a connected partner;
• notification preferences, device push tokens, device/platform information, time zone and delivery/read status needed to deliver reminders and manage badges.

How information is collected and used

Most WDYWD information is supplied directly by you or created as you use account, onboarding, pairing, matching, date-lifecycle, review, and Memories features.

WDYWD uses this information to authenticate accounts, pair partners, personalize matching, operate date selection and lifecycle features, maintain shared Memories/history, enforce product limits, and provide account and support functions.

Service providers and data protection

Supabase provides WDYWD authentication, database, photo/file storage and server-side services. If you choose Apple or Google sign-in, that provider processes your sign-in and supplies the account information needed to authenticate you.

Apple App Store or Google Play handles native checkout. RevenueCat processes purchase/subscription information and app-user identifiers to help verify purchases, restore access and manage entitlements. WDYWD does not collect your full payment-card details.

Expo push services, Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging process the device tokens, notification payloads and delivery information needed to send notifications to your device. Notification previews may be visible on your lock screen according to your device settings.

Google Calendar and operating-system share destinations receive information only when you choose those actions.

Built by Flint requires service providers that process WDYWD user data on its behalf to protect that information in a manner consistent with this privacy policy and applicable privacy and security requirements.

What WDYWD does not currently use for Beta

• No advertising or cross-app tracking SDK was verified in the current app.
• No third-party analytics SDK was verified in the current app.
• No crash-reporting SDK was verified in the current app.
• WDYWD does not currently request precise GPS location, Contacts, Health/Fitness data, bank-account access or microphone access. Store purchase and subscription information is processed as described above.
• WDYWD does not currently read your device calendar. Choosing Google Calendar or sharing an ICS file is a user-directed action.

User-directed sharing and optional actions

Memories contributions and Love Notes are associated with your account and connected relationship so the intended partner can view them. Choose carefully what you upload or send. Photo access is requested through your device when needed; WDYWD does not upload your entire photo library.

You can manage notifications in WDYWD Settings and your device settings. Turning off notifications does not delete saved content.

If you choose a Google Calendar action, WDYWD opens a Google Calendar template using the date information needed for that action. If you use your device’s share sheet, the information you choose to share is sent to the destination you select.

You can decline optional user-directed sharing actions and continue using WDYWD without sending that information to the selected destination.

Retention, deletion, and your choices

WDYWD keeps account, profile, relationship, preference, and date-lifecycle information while it is needed to provide the account and the product features described in this policy.

You can permanently delete your WDYWD account from inside the app. You can also review the public deletion instructions at the link below. Account deletion removes the WDYWD account and the relationship-scoped data described in the deletion section below.

Operational, security, delivery, purchase, infrastructure, backup, or similar records controlled by service providers may remain according to those providers’ own retention requirements and service configuration. Deleting the app or your WDYWD account does not itself cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; manage cancellation through the store where you subscribed.
